Do You Have Claims Process Management / Policy Administration Experience?

Claims management is at the heart of any insurance company.  An effective claims process can save time, money and improve the customer experience. The administration and management of insurance policies have historically been very complex and inflexible.  Working alongside our trusted partners you can help insurers future-proof their business by implementing policy administration software that creates systems which ensure a seamless experience for the insurance agent and their customers.

Our Insurance Technical Analysts work with our client’s internal teams, as well as our software partners, to address their technical and business needs, while in the process becoming trusted advisors.  You will be involved in the analysis and creation of user requirements to design, build and configure technical solutions within agile methodologies. As a Technical Analyst with Insurance experience, you’ll be naturally curious and get to the bottom of issues to support your clients. You will have strong communication skills, with both written and verbal being important to deliver the requirements of the role.

Due to Covid -19 our Technical Analysts have moved to a remote working model however, we do expect that at some point travel will be reintroduced and you will be expected to spend part of your time on site with the client, working alongside the business and technical teams.

Candidate Requirements

  • BSC in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 3 – 5 years plus insurance and or / insurance software experience specifically in claims management software
  • Detailed understanding of claims / policy administration business process
  • Clear understanding of insurance processes and knowledge of full insurance lifecycle i.e., policy administration, claims, billing, underwriting, renewals etc
  • Commercial development experience in an object-oriented programming language (preferably java or .net)
  • Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Solid experience of Software Development life cycle both waterfall and working within an agile environment
  • Ability to document designs and estimate solutions for low complexity product gaps and enhancements
  • Previous experience working with technologies related to a Software development role (Git, agile tools, build automation tools etc)
  • Track record of producing quality code utilizing best practices
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal, are important to liaise with clients to interpret their issues into technical solutions
  • Proven experience leading small to medium sized development teams
  • Ability to work independently when necessary
  • Experience of working collaboratively in a team environment to build and update technical documents according to customer specifications
  • Track record of mentoring and coaching junior developers
  • Self-motivated individual with strong analytical and communication skills
  • Any additional language would be an advantage
  • Ability to travel to our Customer Sites on a regular basis as required

Salary

Salaries for this position will start at:

Gold 1 (£40k+) 

Further salary levels and pay ranges dependent on your years of experience and individual skillset.

In addition to your salary, you will receive a discretionary 20% bonus of your base salary paid quarterly as well as other additional benefits.
