The Human Synergistics® Circumplex

When Alchemy was founded in 2018, we set out to do things differently. Part of our founding mission was to create world class careers in a region in need of investment. For us, this means creating opportunities through which people can strive to be the best versions of themselves, both personally and professionally.

The Human Synergistics® Circumplex behavioural model is introduced to all Alchemists* when joining. The model provides us with a visual to discuss behaviours and help drive performance; it gives us a common language to support discussions and provides a foundation for developing our people, improving performance, and enriching the Company culture.

Clear Routes for Progression

Our promotion process is open to everyone, all year round, with promotion panels meeting quarterly. Our salary, bonus and benefits packages, from Bronze to Platinum, give individuals full insight into what competencies, knowledge and behaviours are required for each level. Employees are supported to progress at the pace that is right for them. With no limit on how many people we can promote each year; we remove the competitive nature which further fosters a culture of collaboration and teamwork.

Mentoring not Management

We don't rely on traditional hierarchical structures, instead we have created a mentoring programme to support the growth and progression of our people. Alchemy's mentoring programme is one of the ways in which we encourage our people to support and share knowledge with each other, enhancing their own performance and creating a successful company. Alchemists are matched with a fellow colleague who has travelled further along the path to share the experience they have gained along the way. Both mentors and mentees receive training and peer support to ensure that constructive collaborative relationships, and networks are a natural part of life at Alchemy.
