illumifin was launched in 2021 and provides third party administration and technology services to individual and group insurers. In 2022, they completed an acquisition of LTCG (Long Term Care Group); combining illumifin's capabilities with LTCG’s proprietary long-term care administration solutions and claims capabilities, one of the largest insurance service providers in North American long-term care, life, health, and annuity markets.

A key factor in ensuring that current and future staff are kept fully up to speed with their products, is making sure that they have access to documentation and material that is clear, concise and conforms to modern day learning standards. Alchemy has acquired significant experience in creating, maintaining, and re-structuring training material, having previously worked with several customers in overhauling their training capabilities.
Alchemy was initially engaged by illumifin to look at the training offered by the company for both their internal staff, and their clients. As the company was going through a period of change, they found Alchemy to be a perfect partner to make sure their training material and documentation were future proofed.
The Opportunity the Customer Faced
Due to the acquisition by illumifin of LTCG, a clear opportunity to start afresh presented itself. Alchemy’s experience and capabilities provided a vision whereby staff would have immediate access to modernised training materials such as instructional videos, short and focused pdf’s, assessment questions and clear success metrics that would enable the user to take control of their own learning journey. The challenges were, however, several decades worth of documentation in lengthy pdf form; customer implementations of the software were often too highly customised and also there were insufficient junior team members to keep up with training and documentation demands as the company grew.Why illumifin Chose Alchemy

Alchemy completed a detailed review of the current training and documentation processes; this stage took 4 weeks. Our findings were then presented to illumifin and our proposal outlined the ways in which Alchemy could partner with illumifin to help refine their training processes, making the material more accessible to current and future teams. After agreeing to work together, a stream of work was defined, and a team of alchemists were assigned to work with the product owner of the individual life component of the platform.The Results
