The Guidewire Global Content team was developing the InsuranceSuite Package for Germany (IPG), a core solution for the German market, and required assistance in implementing a high volume of critical requirements in a short timeframe during 2019 and 2020. Given our Alchemists' level of training and our ability to integrate seamlessly into teams, we were the perfect candidate. Alchemy helped Guidewire to scale its development capacity flexibly according to increased customer demand.

How Alchemy Responded
Initially, we assigned a small number of Alchemists to the German market team to increase capacity. This team was embedded into existing Guidewire teams, working seamlessly using our partners environments, working practices and tooling. Over time, the Alchemy team gained more experience, assumed greater responsibilities and more than doubled in size to form an independent development team within Global Content; with a Guidewire employee as Team Lead, contributing to the overall German market solution. The addition of these Alchemists helped accelerate the implementation of critical requirements for the major release.
