For a long time, going to Guidewire meant one thing: moving your policy, billing and claims onto InsuranceSuite. It was a single, large platform decision, and the hard part was the implementation. That has changed. Guidewire now describes itself as the Intelligent Cloud Platform, and the phrase is doing real work. The core applications, PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, still sit at the centre. But around and beneath them, Guidewire has built more applications and services. For example, a pricing application (PricingCenter), an AI-driven underwriting application (UnderwritingCenter), an embedded AI assistant (ProNavigator), and an underlying layer of GenAI Services and an Agentic Framework that the newer applications run on. Sitting alongside all of this is Marketplace, Guidewire's integration ecosystem, where validated partner extensions plug in to extend what the platform can do. The platform decision is no longer one decision. It is a sequence of them, and the order in which an insurer takes them shapes the value they get. There is no separating Guidewire's roadmap from AI anymore. Guidewire frames it as three layers working together: agentic and predictive AI, built on insurance-specific context, running on an open and trusted core. UnderwritingCenter is built on the Agentic Framework. ProNavigator is an embedded assistant grounded in an insurer's own data. Even PricingCenter leans on AI-assisted insights alongside its modelling. That is where this gets interesting, and where the choices matter most. The questions are not whether the AI is impressive in a demo, but whether it is governed, auditable, grounded in your own data, and pointed at the work that slows your teams down. Those are the questions worth holding onto as you read. Across 50+ Projects, 30+ Clients and 15+ Countries, our teams have delivered InsuranceSuite implementations working with carriers across the UK, US, Europe, Scandinavia, Japan, and Lloyd's Market. That includes cloud migrations, greenfield implementations, and front-end delivery on Jutro Digital Platform for policy digital journeys. The newer layer - PricingCenter, UnderwritingCenter, ProNavigator - we watch closely, engage with through the Guidewire partner ecosystem, and hold a defined view on. The articles that follow are honest about that distinction: where we have built it, and where we have formed a considered opinion from the outside. The platform is increasingly cloud-first, and the newer applications are built cloud-native, so the cloud conversation and the product conversation are now the same conversation. At the same time, the pressure on insurers to price faster, underwrite sharper, and evidence every decision has never been higher, and AI has become a defining investment in Guidewire’s roadmap. The insurers that lead over the next few years will be defined by how well they apply AI, not how much. The winners will sequence new capabilities with clear business purpose, strong data foundations, and a core platform built to support them.
