Alchemy is a Guidewire PartnerConnect Select Consulting partner, meaning we are committed to working with Guidewire, its customers, and system integrators to support the digitisation of the insurance industry.

The Guidewire Global Content team was developing the InsuranceSuite Package for Germany (IPG), a core solution for the German market, and required assistance in implementing a high volume of critical requirements in a short timeframe during 2019 and 2020. Given our Alchemists' level of training and our ability to integrate seamlessly into teams, we were the perfect candidate. Alchemy helped Guidewire to scale its development capacity flexibly according to increased customer demand.

Guidewire's Global Content Team was looking for the ability to flexibly scale their development team and strategically enhance their capacity and engaged with Alchemy. That way, Alchemy supported Guidewire not only to meet but exceed the expectations of their customers, ensuring timely deliveries and surpassing all potential obstacles.

The Guidewire Global Content team were seeking additional skilled PolicyCenter and Integration developers to help implement critical requirements. As a PartnerConnect consulting partner, our objective is to train our staff to the highest possible standards, similar to Guidewire employees, and to achieve the accreditations recognising this expertise. How Alchemy Responded

Initially, we assigned a small number of Alchemists to the German market team to increase capacity. This team was embedded into existing Guidewire teams, working seamlessly using our partners environments, working practices and tooling. Over time, the Alchemy team gained more experience, assumed greater responsibilities and more than doubled in size to form an independent development team within Global Content; with a Guidewire employee as Team Lead, contributing to the overall German market solution. The addition of these Alchemists helped accelerate the implementation of critical requirements for the major release.

The Results

The added value of our Alchemists empowered the Guidewire Global Content team to meet the specified deadline, leaving their customers immensely satisfied with the product's performance and quality.
