Alchemy recognised as an Arts Champion in Northern Ireland

Alchemy Technology Services has been honoured as one of Northern Ireland’s first Arts Champions by Arts & Business Northern Ireland, recognising its ongoing commitment to supporting the arts and cultural sector.

The company is part of the inaugural cohort of organisations honoured for their outstanding commitment to supporting the arts across the region. The awards were presented at a special ceremony in the Academy Restaurant at Ulster University’s Belfast campus on 22 September.

Alchemy has long championed a wide range of arts and cultural organisations across Northern Ireland, with a particular focus on the North West. Its longstanding sponsorship of the Millennium Forum reflects that commitment, while through Le Foyer des Artistes the company has helped nurture local and international talent, providing musicians and artists the freedom and platform to create and thrive.

Its partnership with The Playhouse further underlines Alchemy’s role in safeguarding local access to theatre, music, and the arts.

It has also endorsed events including the Stendhal Festival and the City of Derry International Choir Festival, as it looks to help sustain a vibrant cultural offering for audiences across the region.

Arts & Business Northern Ireland is a charitable organisation that brings together the cultural and commercial sectors, with a vision of achieving a valued and thriving arts and creative sector across the region.

John Harkin, Founder of Alchemy Technology Services, said:

“We are honoured to have been recognised for our work in supporting the arts in Northern Ireland. The arts and cultural sector plays a vital role in the social and economic wellbeing of the region, and it is important that it receives meaningful support from businesses.

“We look forward to continuing to play an active role in supporting the people, organisations and creative talent that contribute to Northern Ireland’s distinctive cultural landscape, and would like to thank Arts & Business Northern Ireland for this recognition.”
