The salary for this position is:

£40,000 per annum 

In addition to your salary, you will receive a discretionary bonus up to 20% of your base salary paid quarterly as well as other additional benefits.

The Role

The successful candidate will undertake all aspects of financial management, including management and statutory reporting, budgeting, and forecast preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. As we have grown significantly and plan to continue on this trajectory, this is a newly established role. If you are a strong team-player with a keen eye for detail, this could be an exciting opportunity for you to make a significant impact on our business.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Controller will:

  • Support the CFO in performance of duties
  • Have hands-on ownership of day-to-day accounting activities, while also being comfortable with high level strategic planning
  • Ensure consistent, accurate and timely provision of information on financial and related operational performance to the Board and Leadership team
  • Inform and educate staff on company and individual financial performance.

Full job spec


  • Qualified accountant (preferably ACCA/CIMA) with at least 3 to 4 years relevant post qualification experience and good knowledge of UK GAAP, or suitable equivalent experience
  • Experience of working in an entrepreneurial culture within a quickly growing business in a FC or similar role; enjoys the associated challenges
  • Experience of working in either the technology or professional service sectors, in particular project driven businesses
  • Demonstrable proficiency in timely and accurate completion of month-end processes to agreed deadlines
  • Be hands on, working with small business support teams, capable of independent working
  • Self-disciplined, flexible, can-do approach, willing to adapt and extend responsibilities to meet reasonable business requirements as required in a rapidly growing business
  • Collaborative approach and able to build relationships with all business stakeholders
  • Analytical mind, good eye for detail and able to identify and challenge assumptions underlying information that is presented to them
  • Excellent written, oral, and electronic communication skills
  • Strong business and commercial acumen
