Investing in Arts and Culture

We believe in the power of the arts to inspire and uplift communities. As supporters and promoters of initiatives such as Le Foyer des Artistes, we help champion local and international creative talent, enabling musicians and artists to flourish. Our longstanding partnership with the Millennium Forum and The Playhouse ensures that theatre, music, and creative expression remain accessible and continue to enrich our region.

We have also taken part in workshops at the Millennium Forum as part of its successful Happy Stage project, a creative programme supporting workplace wellbeing through activities such as mindfulness, movement, and performance. Beyond this, we have proudly sponsored Feis Doire Colmcille, celebrating local culture, music, and heritage. Supporting events like this helps nurture community pride, preserve cultural traditions, and provide emerging artists with opportunities to showcase their talent to wider audiences.

Empowering Future Generations

We invest in graduates and early-career professionals, building strong foundations from day one. Through our collaboration with Catalyst's Generation Innovation Programme and our 'School Buddy' initiative with St Mary's College, we offer work experience and insights which encourage young people to explore careers in STEM. We partner with Ulster University, Atlantic Technological University, North West Regional College, and Queen's University Belfast to connect with students, offer early-career advice, and sponsor awards that recognise excellence in Computer Science, Software Development, and Business Analytics.

We actively engage with the wider tech community to inspire and support young talent. Through our head sponsorship of TechTides, students had the opportunity to hear from leading experts and participate in live Q&A sessions, gaining insight into the latest in technology and innovation. In collaboration with TechFoundHer, we also hosted an Innovation Showcase celebrating women founders and innovators from across Northern Ireland, highlighting the impact of creativity and leadership in tech.

Our commitment to fostering the next generation extends to events like our Connect x Grow, run in partnership with Guidewire’s Grow Network. Our first-ever event brought together Alchemy employees and St Mary’s students to explore careers in technology in celebration of International Women’s Day. Staying true to our focus on empowering young people, we have also taken part in the most recent NI Mathfest, an initiative designed to help primary and secondary school children see how maths connects to future opportunities while moving away from fear of the subject itself.

Charitable Engagement and Giving Back

We are proud supporters of charitable causes, with employees coming together over the years to raise funds, volunteer time, and make a meaningful difference in the community. From coffee mornings to fundraising events, we have supported a wide range of organisations, including CALM, Foyle Hospice, The Rainbow Project, Crohn's & Colitis UK, Liberty Consortium, Tiny Life, Lullaby Trust, HURT, and Marie Curie.

We have also proudly sponsored and participated in events such as the City of Derry Airport Runway Run, Belfast City Marathons , Alchemy Cup, and Foyle Female 5K.

Supporting Young Talent in Sports

Through our support for the Mary Peters Trust, we champion aspiring athletes by providing funding, mentorship, and opportunities to showcase their talent. Events like The Alchemy Open (Golf Day) and Corporate Games bring together our employees and partners to support the next generation of sports professionals.

We have supported the Foyle Cup and the John West GAA Féile Peile na nÓg National, helping to nurture the next generation of sports professionals and highlight the value of investment in youth development. Supporting young athletes in this way helps build confidence, teamwork, and community spirit, qualities that extend far beyond the playing field.

"I am grateful for the support we get from Alchemy, sport wouldn't exist without sponsors" Lady Mary Peters LG CH DBE
